Golf Classic: Following on from the huge success of last year’s golf classic, we are delighted to announce that we will be hosting the event again this year in Thurles Golf Club. The event will take place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th of May. We had many fantastic prizes last year and this year will be no different. The time sheet is now available and slots can be acquired from Martin Fahy. We encourage people to get their slot as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Over 100 teams took part last year and we hope to see the same and more this year. A team of 4 costs just €120.

Online Lotto: Our online lotto continues to grow and we would encourage as many people as possible to sign up to it. We especially appeal to Borris people outside the parish who do not have access to tickets on a weekly basis. There has been huge developments taken place in the club in the last 12 months and funds are vital to help us continue to build on the great work in 2013. Online lotto can be set up on www.borris-ileighgaa.com or you can contact Mark Stapleton on 086 8143486.

Membership: Registrars Martin Fahy, John Bradshaw and secretary Gerry Treacy will be taking membership forms and fees for the coming year. The cost for an adult player is €50 while ordinary membership is just €30. Membership forms are also available from Donal Hurleys Gala or from the above named people. The deadline for membership to be ratified by Croke Park is the end of March, so don’t delay. We urge as many people to sign up for membership. It is a vital source of income for the club and gives people a far greater chance to be involved with the club. Also with the opening of the new walking track we would appreciate if users signed up as members. We hope to increase the length of the track over the coming years and all funds are greatly needed to help finance these developments.
